Job Description
- As an Expediter GT Control System Purchasing professional, your primary responsibility will be to ensure the timely delivery of materials, products, or services in accordance with project specifications. You will play a vital role in supply chain management by coordinating with suppliers, monitoring inventory levels, and facilitating communication between various departments. You will be an integral part of the GT Control System Team that provides services for the NA Procurement Team within the Siemens Energy Service Controls & Digitalization Organization. Your role will involve cross-departmental communication and collaboration with Project Procurement Managers and the Project Support Team to ensure that all purchasing requisitions are processed on a daily basis. In your daily tasks, you will receive, review, and process purchase requisitions promptly. Building and maintaining working relationships with vendors and suppliers, as well as evaluating and selecting the best vendor quotes, will be crucial aspects of your role. Additionally, expediting purchase orders to ensure on-time delivery and managing and prioritizing expedite requests from the internal team will be essential responsibilities. To excel in this role, you should hold a Bachelor's degree in engineering, preferably in Mechanical, Control, or Instrumentation. Additionally, having 6-8 years of experience in the energy industry, including supply chain management experience, will be beneficial. Your ability to thrive in a dynamic work environment, coupled with proven problem-solving skills, will set you up for success. Proficiency in SAP and Microsoft Excel is required, and experience with Digitalization, Controls, or Carbonization Business Fields is preferred.
