Job Description
- You will be responsible for the development of mathematical models and performing simulations to evaluate the performance of HVAC Systems in buildings. You will need to analyze data and prepare technical reports to effectively communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders. In addition, you will be involved in the development, verification, and validation of control algorithms for HVAC systems. Your role will also include developing and maintaining databases and software development processes to support research and development activities. As part of your responsibilities, you will manage projects by defining project tasks and ensuring adherence to timelines. Collaboration with other engineers to develop in-house simulation software components and related experimental setups will be a crucial aspect of your role. To qualify for this position, you must possess a bachelor's degree in engineering along with at least 1 year of related experience. You should have knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology, as well as experience with analytical and CAD software. Familiarity with design techniques, tools, and principles involved in the production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models is essential. Strong verbal and written communication skills are also required. Ideally, candidates with an M. Tech in Thermal/Energy/Air Conditioning & Refrigeration (preferably from premier Institutions) or equivalent, with a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in the relevant area, are preferred. You should have sound knowledge in Thermodynamics, Heat Transfer & Fluid Dynamics, Energy, and HVAC Systems. Experience in the development, verification, and validation of control algorithms for HVAC systems is crucial for this role. Knowledge of building performance simulation software, especially EnergyPlus software, would be advantageous. Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Matlab, C++, C#, and Excel macros is desirable. An understanding of HVAC and refrigeration systems, including components like heat exchangers, compressors, fans & blowers, is necessary. A good grasp of building physics and the operation of HVAC systems in buildings, as well as experience in data analysis related to simulation and experimental results, is expected. Knowledge of numerical methods to solve thermal engineering problems is also beneficial.,
