Senior Technical Consultant Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) Engineer
Location: Chennai
Experience: 5+ years

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and proactive OCI Cloud Administrator / Engineer to manage and optimize our Oracle Cloud Infrastructure environment. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with OCI services, cloud automation, security best practices, and infrastructure operations to ensure seamless and secure cloud service delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provision, configure, and maintain OCI resources (compute, storage, VCN, DBs, etc.).
• Manage IAM policies, users, and roles in OCI environment.
• Implement network and security best practices (VCNs, NSGs, Security Lists, Compartments).
• Automate routine tasks using Shell scripting, Terraform, Ansible, OCI CLI.
• Monitor performance, capacity, and availability using OCI Monitoring and Logging tools.
• Manage backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies for cloud workloads.
• Collaborate with DevOps, Application, and DB teams for infrastructure support.
• Support cloud budgeting, cost tracking, and optimization.
• Participate in troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and incident response.
• Stay updated with OCI service enhancements and recommend improvements.
  

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent work experience.
• 5+ years of experience managing Oracle Cloud Infrastructure or other cloud platforms.
• Strong expertise in OCI core services (Compute, Storage, VCN, Load Balancer, Autonomous DB).
• Proficiency in OCI CLI, Terraform (Resource Manager), and automation tools.
• Solid understanding of networking (DNS, DHCP, VPN, IPsec, Load Balancing).
• Familiar with high availability and disaster recovery principles in OCI.
• Experience with Linux/Windows OS in a cloud environment.
• OCI certifications (Foundations, Architect Associate/Professional) are a strong plus.
