Job Description

    You are a skilled and detail-oriented Manual Software Test Engineer with 2 to 5 years of relevant experience, seeking to join a development team. As a critical team member, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and performance of applications through comprehensive manual testing across different platforms. Your role involves collaborating closely with developers, project managers, business analysts, and stakeholders to deliver high-quality software that meets user expectations. Your key responsibilities will include analyzing business and technical requirements to develop detailed test plans and cases, collaborating with stakeholders to create relevant test cases, and identifying test conditions and defining test data requirements. You will perform functional, regression, usability, performance, and exploratory testing across web and mobile applications, executing test cases manually to identify bugs, defects, and issues in the system. Ensuring that the software meets quality standards and is deployment-ready will be a crucial part of your role. In terms of defect management, you will be responsible for reporting, tracking, and documenting software defects using tools like Jira, Bugzilla, or other test management tools. Collaborating with developers to reproduce and resolve issues efficiently, retesting resolved defects, and performing regression testing on affected modules are also key aspects of your responsibilities. Your role will involve close collaboration with the development team and product managers to ensure a comprehensive understanding of the application and its functionality. You will participate in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and sprint retrospectives, providing clear and concise reports on testing progress, issues, and outcomes to stakeholders. As a Manual Test Engineer, you should have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, with proven experience of 3+ years in manual software testing. Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies, tools, and processes, along with experience in bug tracking and test management tools, is essential. You should also have experience testing web and mobile applications, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and an understanding of Agile development processes. Preferred qualifications include familiarity with automation tools, experience with API testing tools like Postman or SoapUI, experience in performance and security testing, and an understanding of basic SQL queries to validate data in databases. Continuous improvement, providing feedback, and staying updated with the latest trends in software testing are also expected from you.,
