Manual QA Tester - Embedded & IoT @ Volkswagen Group

Job Description

As a Manual QA Tester specializing in embedded systems and IoT testing at DesignNex, your primary responsibility will be to validate the functionality and performance of device hardware, firmware, wireless connectivity (Wi-Fi, Bluetooth), API interactions, and mobile applications. You will design, develop, and execute manual test cases for embedded devices and IoT applications, performing functional, regression, and system testing on hardware and firmware. Additionally, you will validate wireless connectivity and troubleshoot issues, conduct API testing for seamless communication, and perform manual testing on iOS and Android mobile applications integrated with IoT devices. Your role will involve tracking and managing defects using tools like JIRA, Zephyr, and Confluence, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance product quality. To excel in this role, you should hold a Bachelors/Masters degree in Electronics, Computer Science, or a related field with 2-5 years of experience in manual testing for embedded systems, IoT, or consumer electronics. Your skill set should include a strong understanding of embedded hardware, firmware validation, system-level testing, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth testing, as well as proficiency in API testing using tools like Postman. Experience with test management and defect-tracking tools such as JIRA, Zephyr, and Confluence is essential, along with excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to quality assurance. Preferred qualifications include experience in mobile application testing for IoT devices, familiarity with IoT protocols (MQTT, CoAP, HTTP), and relevant QA certifications like ISTQB.
