Job Description
- As a Staff Machine Learning Engineer at Apollo.io, you will be a key member of the Intelligence team, leading crucial initiatives that drive ML-driven user experiences across various aspects such as search, recommendations, content generation, scoring, and more. Your primary mission is to propel Apollo.io forward as an AI-native product by creating intelligent, personalized, and highly automated features that can scale effectively. Collaboration will be a significant aspect of your role as you work closely with engineers, product managers, and data scientists to develop machine learning systems that enhance Apollo's ability to guide users towards value and shape the future of the AI platform. Your responsibilities will include designing, building, evaluating, deploying, and iterating on scalable ML systems, driving end-to-end ML initiatives from problem definition to monitoring, and continuously improving the Machine Learning stack at Apollo. Your expertise with LLMs, embeddings, Python, and modern ML libraries like PyTorch, TensorFlow, HuggingFace, or Scikit-learn will be essential in leading the development of intelligent features. Additionally, you will contribute to platform architecture decisions, mentor and uplevel engineers across the organization, and champion the use of AI internally to drive engineering and operational efficiency. To excel in this role, you should have at least 8 years of experience in building and scaling ML systems in production environments, strong familiarity with LLMs and embeddings, hands-on experience with Python and relevant ML libraries, and proficiency in cloud infrastructure, orchestration, and experimentation platforms. Excellent collaboration and communication skills, proven impact in shipping ML-driven features in B2B SaaS products or enterprise platforms, and a Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in relevant fields are key qualifications.
