Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Tableau Developer with over 5 years of hands-on expertise in developing, designing, and
maintaining dashboards and reports using Tableau. The ideal candidate will also have working
experience with other data visualization tools such as Power BI, QlikView, Looker, or others. This role requires a detail-oriented
and analytical professional capable of transforming raw data into actionable insights
Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain advanced Tableau dashboards and reports to support business intelligence needs.
Collaborate with business users to gather and translate reporting requirements into effective visualizations.
Optimize dashboard performance, ensure data accuracy, and maintain version control.
Utilize best practices in data visualization and user experience (UX) design to create clear and impactful visuals.
Integrate Tableau with various data sources, including SQL databases, cloud platforms, and Excel files.
Support and train business users on Tableau and other BI tools.
Work cross-functionally with Data Engineers, Data Scientists, and business stakeholders.
Conduct data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and insights for strategic decision-making.
Stay current with industry trends and advancements in data visualization technologies.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related field.
5+ years of hands-on experience in Tableau Desktop and Tableau Server/Online.
Proficient in creating complex dashboards, calculated fields, level of detail (LOD) expressions, parameters, and filters.
Strong SQL skills and experience working with relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server).
Experience in performance tuning and dashboard optimization techniques.
Working knowledge of at least one other BI tool (e.g., Power BI, Qlik, Looker, Domo, or MicroStrategy).
Familiarity with ETL processes and data modeling concepts.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication and presentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Tableau Certification (e.g., Tableau Desktop Certified Associate or Professional).
Experience with scripting languages like Python or R for data analysis.
Exposure to cloud data platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Big Query.
Experience with Agile methodologies and tools like JIRA or Confluence.
