Job Description

    As a member of our team at Ralliant Corporation, you will play a crucial role in the development of sophisticated, industrial real-time operating systems for transformer monitoring at electrical substations. Your responsibilities will include working on real-time data acquisition, post-processing of data for analysis and reports, and developing innovative monitoring systems. Your expertise in embedded systems and firmware development, with a specific focus on Linux and real-time embedded systems, will be essential. You will be tasked with developing advanced firmware solutions for critical substation monitoring and diagnosis requirements, coordinating firmware development activities, and leading quality and scheduling projects. Additionally, you will support the development team by providing pre-qualification and verification testing, ensuring compliance with all regulatory needs, and supporting product transition to mass manufacturing. You will work closely with the sales and support team post-release to meet customer needs in a timely manner. It will be important for you to follow software development and validation processes, continuously improve them, and utilize Scrum Agile Methodology for software development. The ideal candidate for this role will hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent, and possess proven expertise in designing and supporting embedded systems architecture in a real-time Linux environment. Experience with DSP programming, familiarity with the use of Matlab, and expertise in Embedded C/C++ are also required. You should have hands-on experience in programming peripheral interfaces like UART, I2C, and SPI, along with strong analytical and problem-solving skills for root cause determination and issue resolution. Preferred skills for this position include knowledge of unit test frameworks for Linux, programming experience with device drivers, experience in fault location, fault recording, and/or power quality, as well as knowledge of Cybersecurity implementation.
