Job Description
The Software Engineer is a hands-on role within the company. This person is responsible for the entire software development life cycle for applications being developed in the company.
Responsibilities:
This position reports to the Associate VP of Application Development and is based in Pune, India.
- Design, development, maintenance, and troubleshooting of software applications
- Demonstrates understanding of departmental procedures, programming standards, and all pertinent training materials
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision as well as collaborate in a team setting
- Write code that meets standards and delivers desired functionality using the technology selected for the project and ensure the highest quality code
- Maintain code quality through best practices, unit testing, code quality automation and support continuous integration process.
- Review and debug code
- Determine root cause for the most complex software issues and develop practical, efficient, and permanent technical solutions.
- Assist in task planning, estimation, scheduling, and staffing.
- Mentor Software Engineers to allow for skill/knowledge development through advice, coaching, and training opportunities.
- Determine process improvements, best practices, and develop new processes.
- Understand performance parameters and assess application performance.
- Work on core database structures and designs
- Proactively share information across the team, to the right audience with the appropriate level of detail and timeliness
Qualifications:
This job requires attentions to detail and the ability to multitask, excellent troubleshooting and critical thinking skills.
- A bachelor s degree in computer science or another relevant field is required.
- 2-7 years of programming experience.
- .NET 8 or above
- Entity Framework Core 8 or above
- proficient in LINQ
- NET MVC and Web APIs + Postman
- SQL : 2 years experience would be added advantage
- CQRS using MediatR
- Distributed Caching using Redis
- Event Driven Architecture using Kafka
- Podman/Docker
- Kubernetes
- ELK ElasticSearch, Logstash, Kibana
- SOLID design principle
- Design Patterns
- Proficient in Object Oriented Programming
- Automated Testing Unit, Integration, Stress/Load, Performance etc
