As the Office Head for our India office, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and enhancing the operations of our 1525-person team dedicated to supporting a rapidly expanding global bookkeeping and advisory firm. Your leadership will be essential in ensuring strategic oversight, operational excellence, effective people management, and the preservation of our organizational culture. Your responsibilities will include collaborating closely with our founder and Managing Partner to drive performance, enhance employee well-being, and align the office with our company's global objectives. You will work in tandem with the US-based leadership team to translate strategic goals into actionable plans at the local level, while upholding our core values and fostering a consistent organizational culture across different regions. In terms of operations management, you will be tasked with optimizing internal workflows, overseeing office administration, IT, HR coordination, and financial functions. Establishing and upholding standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure operational efficiency and compliance will be a key aspect of your role, along with maintaining a professional and reliable working environment through efficient management of tools, systems, and facilities. People and culture will be at the heart of your responsibilities, as you lead a team of 35 direct reports and oversee the broader office staff of 1525 employees. You will drive local hiring processes in collaboration with HR and talent leads, conduct regular performance reviews, development check-ins, and retention planning. Additionally, you will champion employee engagement, foster inclusivity, and spearhead culture-building initiatives to create a positive work environment. Financial management and compliance will also fall within your purview, as you manage the office budget, report on monthly variances, and collaborate with finance and legal teams to ensure adherence to Indian labor laws and reporting requirements. Your role will require you to act as a liaison between the India and US teams, facilitating clear communication, alignment, and seamless cross-border operations. Leading various meetings, planning sessions, and fostering collaboration will be essential to ensuring effective teamwork and coordination across different geographies. To excel in this position, you should possess over 10 years of professional experience, including at least 5 years in a people or office leadership role. Prior experience in a BPO, accounting firm, finance back-office, or shared service environment will be highly advantageous. Strong leadership abilities, knowledge of HR practices, compliance standards in India, and excellent communication skills, especially in an international context, are essential. Proficiency in cloud-based tools and experience working with US-based companies or leadership will be beneficial.,
