Job Description
- As the Sr. Calypso QA Lead, you will be responsible for leading QA efforts on Calypso initiatives while following scaled Agile best practices. Your role will involve leading in requirement analysis, design, and development phases to determine the testing approach for the Calypso platform. Leveraging your extensive Calypso Domain expertise, you will develop a test plan and provide direction to the QA team for test case authoring and execution. You will drive the test automation hand-off practice and support the development of test cases designed for automation in order to reduce or eliminate manual testing. Additionally, you will lead the test case peer review process, support the maintenance of authored test cases, and oversee the test execution of developed solutions, delivering comprehensive test reports. Your responsibilities will include various types of testing such as smoke, system, integration, regression (both manual and automated), data/test-driven, and end-to-end testing. You will develop QA close-out deliverables including a requirement traceability matrix and test acceptance report to support go/no-go decisions. Collaborating with the Test Automation team, you will develop, optimize, and enhance automated regression test suites, as well as coordinate automated test execution. Furthermore, you will work closely with Business users to create and maintain test data for functional and regression testing. You will collaborate with the Calypso development team and test automation team to evaluate new test automation tools and solutions for Calypso API and functional regression testing. You will also support and facilitate user acceptance testing. In addition, you will lead meetings and workstream sessions with team members, cross-functional teams, and business partners to align on business needs and deliver value. You will also lead defect triage and collaborate with business partners, internal, and/or external implementation partners on system failures, root cause analysis, and track defects to closure. To be successful in this role, you should have working knowledge of the Financial domain and Capital Markets, experience with Agile/SAFe methodology, and proficiency in test automation and framework tools like UFT, Selenium, RPA, or equivalent automation skills. Knowledge of complex SQL, experience with ETL processes, and familiarity with industry standard testing and defect management tools like ALM, JIRA, and Confluence are desired. Moreover, you should possess critical thinking, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent time management abilities, and exceptional verbal and written communication skills. A self-motivated individual with the initiative to thoroughly understand existing business processes, system integrations, and dependencies will excel in this role. Extensive experience in a Lead Calypso QA capacity is preferred, especially in Calypso Upgrade projects and migrations from legacy applications to the Calypso platform. Your expertise in Fixed Income, Derivatives, Money Markets, Advances, LCs, and Equity products in Calypso, including their workings and lifecycle events, will be beneficial. Experience with Calypso versions 16.1 onwards, Calypso Pricing, Accounting, ERS, Workflows, Reporting, Task Station, Scheduled Task functionality, Hedge Accounting Module, and Collateral Module with multiple integrations in and out of Calypso with other platforms is highly valued.
