Does this resonate with you As a Buying Professional in Factory Direct Procurement at Siemens Energy in Mumbai, you will play a vital role in our team. Your primary responsibilities will include planning, coordinating, monitoring, and supporting strategic sourcing activities for Direct Materials at the Distribution Transformer factory. This will be conducted within the framework of policies and guidelines set by SL and SAG, aimed at surpassing business objectives and striving for customer satisfaction. Additionally, your duties will involve: - Procuring Direct Commodities of Transformers, including items such as Bushings, Tap Changers, Measuring Instruments, Control Panels, as well as C class items like Hardware & Gaskets. - Coordinating with both internal and external partners, which may include Engineering, Planning, Operation Procurement, Quality, Commercial, Sales, Project Management, and other SCM colleagues within the organization, as well as external counterparts such as Vendors & Service Providers. In this role, your main objective will be Strategic Sourcing, focusing on delivering the Right Quality product in Right Quantity at Right Time from Right Source at Right Price at Right Place. Your tasks will involve identifying potential vendors, developing alternate vendors, negotiating prices, and preparing Rate Contracts. You should possess a strategic viewpoint, be a team player, creative, and solution-oriented. Additionally, you should hold a degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering with 5 to 8 years of relevant experience in Strategic Sourcing of Direct Commodities of Power & Distribution Transformers. Basic costing of materials, familiarity with Siemens Procurement Tools, conducting e-Auctions on Siemens Tools independently, knowledge of EHS Norms for Factory & Site, and willingness to travel to suppliers at different locations/cities are also required.
