Jr. Software Platform Engineer @ Metlife

Job Description

As a Java Developer at MetLife, you will utilize your hands-on experience in Core Java and Advanced Java to design and implement complex solutions in a dynamic Agile environment. You will be responsible for developing cloud-based hybrid mobile applications, scalable microservices, and CI/CD pipelines. Your role will involve creating highly reusable UI components and collaborating with team members and stakeholders. In this role, you will exhibit a high level of ownership and professionalism while contributing to all phases of the product development life cycle. You will demonstrate leadership and drive in providing innovative solutions and have the ability to work effectively within a team environment. Additionally, you will interact with both external and internal customers, showcasing your problem-solving skills and analytical abilities. To qualify for this position, you should possess a Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, finance/accounts, or a related discipline. Ideally, you will have 0 to 3 years of hands-on experience in Core Java, Advanced Java, and Microservices. Your technical skills should include proficiency in Java 8, Spring Framework, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, Microservices, Message Queues, and NoSQL databases like MongoDB. Experience with tools such as Redis, Docker, Bamboo or Jenkins, CI/CD, Gulp or Webpack, and JavaScript frameworks like ReactJS, React Native, AngularJS, and Node.JS will be advantageous.
