Job Description
- As a skilled professional in the field of component development and procurement, your main responsibilities will include studying received drawings to confirm manufacturability, developing plans to procure components with vendors meeting time, cost, and quality goals, and preparing customer input requirements. You will also be responsible for vendor analysis and rationalization, ensuring material and tooling costs stay within budgeted values, supporting pricing estimates, and coordinating effectively with the Design team for successful product delivery. Your role will involve conducting variance analysis at each development stage to address issues related to Quality, Cost, and Delivery, implementing innovative approaches for cost reduction, assessing investments needed for tooling and vendor aid, and ensuring compliance with Material Receipt Date targets and project Gateways as per Mahindra Product Development System guidelines. Additionally, you will be actively engaged in project feasibility studies, overseeing quality, cost, and delivery targets for new and existing products, and providing support to the Supplier Technical Assistance counterpart in part development based on the Advanced Product Quality Planning process and project timelines. To excel in this role, you should possess knowledge and skills in PPAP, New Part Development System (MP, EP, VP, PP), APQP, SPC, and problem-solving techniques, zero base costing, price negotiation, GD and T, SAP MM module, and MS Office applications. A strong commercial understanding of taxation and Inco terms will also be beneficial. The ideal candidate for this position should have a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience and hold a BE qualification. Industry experience is preferred to ensure a comprehensive understanding of the job requirements.,
