Job Description
- You will be joining a leading personal financial portal in South East Asia, founded in 2009, that assists consumers in comparing loans, insurance, and credit cards across Singapore, Hong Kong, Taiwan, and the Philippines. As a Tech Lead, your primary mission will be to mentor and implement modern software practices to ensure high-quality product delivery that aligns with business goals. Leading a team, you will drive innovation and build core platforms for the Marketplace business unit. Your responsibilities will include leading a team of engineers to deliver high-quality code, overseeing the entire software development lifecycle, ensuring adherence to coding standards and best practices, architecting scalable systems, and collaborating with product teams to define capabilities and organize work. People management will also be a crucial aspect, as you will focus on fostering growth and retaining talent. To excel in this role, you will need to be an expert in modern software development and Agile methods, possess strong analytical and project management skills, have an entrepreneurial mindset with a focus on innovation, and demonstrate a passion for data, testing, and exceptional customer experiences. Requirements for this position include a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field, a minimum of 6 years of software development experience with at least 1 year in a leadership role, proficiency as a full stack developer with backend expertise, familiarity with scripting languages like Ruby, experience with relational databases and cloud platforms, a strong understanding of OOPs concepts and SOLID principles, and preferably familiarity with Ruby on Rails, Node.js, Typescript, VueJS, and Kafka. Being an advocate for automated software testing and web standards will be highly beneficial. In terms of culture, you are expected to be a positive team player, take ownership of your work, have a bias for action, drive professional development, and prioritize customer centricity in all aspects of your role.,
