Job Description
- As an experienced DevOps Engineer joining our team, your primary focus will be providing on-call support during weekends and enhancing our system infrastructure scalability. Your expertise in cloud platforms, monitoring, and automation will be crucial for ensuring maximum uptime and performance of our systems. You will be responsible for setting up and maintaining DevOps automations, deploying infrastructure, and monitoring the system to identify and resolve issues promptly. Your key responsibilities will include implementing and maintaining DevOps processes and tools for continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD), setting up and deploying infrastructure using Kubernetes and ArgoCD on Google Cloud Platform, and automating operational tasks and workflows to enhance system efficiency and scalability. In terms of monitoring and incident response, you will be required to provide on-call monitoring support on weekends, utilizing tools such as Betterstack, Grafana, and others to track system performance and alerts. Timely response to incidents and ensuring rapid resolution of any issues that arise will be essential. You will also play a crucial role in ensuring that our infrastructure is scalable and optimized for performance, leveraging technologies like Kafka and ClickHouse to manage data flow and storage efficiently. Collaboration with the team to address system improvements and troubleshoot complex problems will be a key aspect of your role. Required qualifications include experience with Google Cloud Platform deployments, expertise in Kubernetes and ArgoCD for CI/CD pipelines, strong DevOps experience focusing on automation and infrastructure as code (IaC), proficiency in monitoring tools like Betterstack and Grafana, and experience with Kafka for data streaming and ClickHouse for database management. On-call availability on weekends from UTC 7 PM to 3 AM is mandatory for incident response and system monitoring. Preferred qualifications include experience in Haskell Blockchain Development, knowledge of Cardano Node and blockchain technologies, and at least 2 years of relevant experience in DevOps or similar roles. You will be required to provide weekend coverage on Saturdays and Sundays from UTC 7 PM to 3 AM, with on-call responsibilities for up to 16-20 hours per weekend and flexibility for additional hours if needed.
