As an Assistant Manager - Sourcing & Procurement at Genpact, you will be collaborating with internal category sourcing teams and clients to comprehend their requirements for conducting sourcing events. Your primary responsibilities will include defining and developing sourcing strategies, managing RFx sourcing for mid to high-level events, and requesting competitive proposals from eligible suppliers. Additionally, you will engage in negotiations with suppliers and ensure successful outcomes for the customers. Your duties will involve assisting the category team in articulating their sourcing event needs, drafting requirement documents such as SOW or position postings, and documenting business requirements. You will be responsible for creating RFP documents, coordinating supplier RFIs, analyzing responses, and conducting supplier negotiations and selections as necessary. Furthermore, you will provide contract-related support to the category team by identifying expiring contracts, collaborating with stakeholders to extend or terminate contracts, initiating legal contracts based on agreed templates and clauses, and monitoring contract compliance. In this role, you will conduct spend analysis, maintain reports, and conduct research to support category plans. Working closely with category leaders, you will help develop alternative sources to single-source relationships and assess both incumbent and potential new sources. You will be expected to leverage best practices wherever applicable. Minimum qualifications for this position include a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university or college, or a high school diploma with substantial sourcing experience. Preferred qualifications consist of relevant experience in indirect sourcing, expertise in supplier and stakeholder relationship management, and familiarity with working with global stakeholders, suppliers, and clients outside India. You should possess demonstrated professional verbal and written communication skills in English, knowledge of the local marketplace, legislation, and suppliers, as well as experience in a middle office environment involving running sourcing events, following guidance from category leaders, and possessing strong interpersonal skills to communicate effectively across all levels of an organization. Experience in hosting virtual training and Q&A sessions would be advantageous.
