Job Description

    As a Technical Support Engineering Intern at Microsoft, under supervision, you will provide technical support to customers, partners, field engineers, and other product support personnel who are diagnosing, troubleshooting, repairing, and debugging complex computer systems, complex software, or networked and/or wireless systems. You will perform troubleshooting and related analyses, escalate issues as appropriate, or serve as the escalation point for highly complex issues. Interns at Microsoft work on real-world projects in collaboration with teams across the world, while having fun along the way. Responsibilities: - Review issues and contact customers to understand the problem. Ensure customers are informed about the status/solution of their issue. Utilize troubleshooting tools (e.g., event logs, performance traces) to help resolve customer issues. - Analyze problems and develop solutions to meet customer needs using log analysis and other proprietary tools. - Collaborate on cross-team and cross-product technical issues by working with resources from other groups as needed to resolve moderately complex customer issues. - Provide feedback to improve products to more senior engineers or technical advisors. - Attend case triage meetings and/or case discussions to collaborate and share ideas to resolve problems. Qualifications: - Currently pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology (IT), or a related field. - Must have at least 1 semester/term remaining following the completion of the internship.,
