Job Description

    As a Manufacturing Digitalization Manager at ABB, you will play a crucial role in driving standardization, innovation, and operational excellence in Machine Integration, Automation, and Robotics across our global manufacturing operations. Your main responsibility will be to configure and maintain the Manufacturing Digitalization Platform to ensure seamless real-time data integration, while also developing clear standards for automation, robotics, PLC programming, and machine integration. Your expertise in industrial automation, robotics integration, and PLC programming will be essential in evaluating and piloting IoT and Industry 4.0 technologies, as well as overseeing the adoption of robotic systems and emerging technologies like AI and advanced vision systems. In addition to your technical responsibilities, you will act as the primary liaison between technology vendors, operational teams, and site leadership, managing project requirements and resources effectively. Your problem-solving skills, project management abilities, and experience in working with global, cross-functional teams will be key in diagnosing and resolving complex integration issues, optimizing system performance, and ensuring the successful deployment of innovative technology solutions. To excel in this role, you should have at least 10 years of experience in industrial automation, robotics integration, and PLC programming, along with a degree in Automation Engineering, Robotics, Electrical Engineering, or related fields. Your knowledge of standard industrial communication protocols and real-time data management platforms, coupled with your ability to create comprehensive technical standards, documentation, and training frameworks, will be critical in driving the digital transformation of our manufacturing operations. Fluency in English is essential, and experience in project management would be a definite advantage.
