Senior Software Engineer - Ruby on Rails @ Thrymr Software

Job Description

As a Senior Software Engineer (Ruby) at Bluetick Consultant Inc, you will be an integral part of our high-performing tech team. Your primary responsibilities will include leading the design and development of critical backend systems, collaborating closely with engineering, product, and QA teams to deliver robust features, ensuring timely execution and high-quality code delivery, participating in code reviews to enhance CI/CD pipelines, and optimizing system performance, scalability, and security. To excel in this role, you must possess at least 5 years of hands-on experience with Ruby on Rails, a strong proficiency in SQL and relational databases, a solid grasp of RESTful API design, comfort in working with Linux environments, and familiarity with Git and version control workflows. While the aforementioned skills are essential, it would be advantageous if you have experience with Backbone.js/JavaScript for front-end components, exposure to AWS (EC2, S3, RDS) or other cloud platforms, and a working knowledge of DevOps tools like Docker and Jenkins.
