Major Roles & Responsibilities
Food Preparation Assisting in preparing ingredients (chopping, peeling, marinating) and basic cooking under the supervision of senior chefs.
Cooking Support Helping in cooking and plating dishes according to recipes and kitchen standards.
Kitchen Hygiene & Sanitation Maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen, following hygiene protocols, and ensuring compliance with food safety regulations.
Ingredient Handling Properly storing, labeling, and organizing ingredients to maintain freshness and avoid wastage.
Assisting Senior Chefs Supporting Sous Chefs and Chef de Partie in executing daily kitchen operations efficiently.
Plating & Presentation Assisting in plating dishes with attention to presentation and portion standards.
Stock & Inventory Support Assisting in monitoring stock levels, informing supervisors of shortages, and ensuring proper use of ingredients.
Team Collaboration Working effectively as part of the kitchen team to ensure smooth workflow and timely food preparation.
Learning & Development Gaining hands-on experience, learning new techniques, and improving culinary skills under the guidance of senior chefs.
Compliance with Safety Standards Adhering to kitchen safety protocols to prevent accidents and maintain a safe working environment.
