Job Description
- You are a skilled and experienced Automation Test Engineer with a strong background in Selenium and Java. Joining our Quality Engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing automated test scripts to ensure software quality and performance across our applications. Your key responsibilities will include designing, developing, and maintaining robust and scalable test automation frameworks using Selenium WebDriver and Java. You will write and execute test cases, analyze results to ensure software meets business and functional requirements, and collaborate with developers, QA analysts, and business stakeholders to understand application features and architecture. Additionally, you will identify, log, and track software bugs and issues to resolution using bug tracking tools like JIRA, perform regression testing, and ensure high test coverage across application components. Integrating test automation with CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, Git, and Maven will also be part of your responsibilities. Providing regular test status updates, documentation, and contributing to overall quality initiatives are key aspects of the role. To excel in this position, you should have 4+ years of experience in test automation using Selenium WebDriver and Java. Strong understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP) concepts and core Java is essential. Hands-on experience with frameworks like TestNG, JUnit, or Cucumber (BDD), working with version control systems like Git, and testing REST APIs using tools like Postman or RestAssured are also required. Knowledge of build tools like Maven/Gradle, continuous integration systems (Jenkins, Bamboo, etc.), familiarity with Agile/Scrum development processes, strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills, as well as excellent verbal and written communication skills are important for this role. Your expertise in Java, Selenium, API testing, automation testing, and JIRA will be invaluable as you contribute to our team's success.
