Senior Software Developer - Backend @ Global Travelxperts

Job Description

The Senior Software Developer position based in Mumbai Onsite requires 2-3 years of experience. As a Senior Software Developer - Backend Focus, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable backend services using Node.js and Express. You will work with PostgreSQL and MongoDB for efficient data modeling and storage, build and integrate RESTful APIs to support web and mobile applications, and develop and deploy serverless functions using AWS Lambda. Setting up and managing CI/CD pipelines for streamlined deployment is also a key responsibility. Collaboration with cross-functional teams to design and implement features, implementing intelligent automation using tools like Windsurf, and working on AI integrations using OpenAI, ChatGPT, Claude, etc., are essential aspects of this role. Designing and optimizing AI prompts for high-performing outputs, handling prompt chaining, context management, and memory in AI integrations are also part of the responsibilities. The ideal candidate for this role would have solid hands-on experience with Node.js, Express, and database systems, possess the ability to build secure and optimized APIs, have experience working with OpenAI APIs particularly in prompt engineering, and understand how to integrate prompts into backend logic. Familiarity with automation platforms like Windsurf, experience deploying and scaling services on AWS, and the ability to independently troubleshoot and optimize backend performance are also required.
