Job Description
- As a Senior Engineering Manager at Adobe Design focusing on Android and Web component development for the Spectrum Design System team, you will have the opportunity to lead a framework team in building libraries that implement Spectrum and meet architecture requirements for various Adobe products. Your role will involve collaborating with the Spectrum design team, partnering with product engineering, creating a strong contribution model, integrating work with supporting systems, and providing technical mentorship and guidance to your team. You will play a vital role in ensuring that Spectrum is available to customers in a timely, stable, and scalable manner. Your responsibilities will include working on diverse component libraries, making important decisions about the growth of the design system, and contributing to the technical direction and standard of quality for engineering, testing, and delivery. Additionally, you will collaborate with both Spectrum and product leadership, prioritize work, set delivery timelines, and facilitate effective communication between design and engineering teams. To excel in this role, you should have a minimum of 5 years of experience as an engineering leader, a strong technical background in building Android and web applications, and a solid understanding of UI accessibility practices and standards. You must also have demonstrated success in leading teams, providing mentorship, and driving engineering excellence across teams. Prior experience in building shared components, UI frameworks, and familiarity with design systems would be advantageous.
