Job Description

    As a Path Planning Algorithm Developer, you will be responsible for leading and developing algorithms for route planning, trajectory optimization, decision making, and open space planning. You will also be involved in developing path planning algorithms for various functionalities such as Lane centering, Automatic Lane Change, Lane Keep Assist, and Automatic Parking. Additionally, you will work on developing perception algorithms for personnel detection, object detection, tracking, classification, terrain mapping, and localization among others. Your role will require you to participate in R&D programs throughout their entire lifecycle, from initial inception to production. You will be expected to research and develop new technology in perception and path planning. Furthermore, you will be responsible for developing production-quality code and taking ownership of your algorithms from design to production. Running simulations for path planning algorithm development and testing various scenarios will also be a part of your responsibilities. You will also have the opportunity to test code on mining and construction equipment. To be successful in this role, you should possess a BE/ME/PhD in Computer Engineering, Robotics Engineering, Mechatronics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, or a related field. Strong programming skills in C/C++ using Linux OS and middleware such as ROS/ROS2 and DDS are essential. Moreover, you should have a deep understanding of motion planning and control theory, including model predictive control and vehicle dynamic modeling. Knowledge of graph-based data structures like quadtree, octree, KD-tree, and the ability to precisely localize vehicles using techniques such as SLAM are important qualifications. Familiarity with search-based algorithms, path planning algorithms like A*, RRT, D*, as well as obstacle avoidance and behavioral planning will be beneficial. Hands-on experience in robotic and/or vehicle system design and implementation, along with knowledge of vehicle dynamics, kinematics, and modeling, are highly desirable. Experience in programming computer vision/perception systems software and sensor fusion with IMU, GPS, Stereo Cameras, Lidar, Radar, and knowledge of tools like PyTorch, CuDNN, Python, and TensorFlow would be advantageous. Proficiency in ROS for simulation with Path planning, a strong math background, and computational geometry skills are also preferred qualifications. Additionally, experience with embedded systems like NVIDIA Jetson, Xavier, Xilinx, ADAS, MATLab, FPGA, ARM processors, C++ 14/17, and Python will be valuable assets. If you have experience in modern planning approaches, randomized search methods, trajectory optimization, modern model predictive control, and advanced control techniques, along with publications in CVPR, NIPS, ICML, or ICLR, it will be considered an added advantage for this role.,
