Job Description

We are hiring L1 Desktop Support Engineer (Mumbai) for one of our reputed clients.

Role : Desktop Support Engineer L1
Location : Mumbai (ANDHERI)
Work from Office, Day shift
6 days working, Sunday Fixed off
Experience : 6 months to 2 years
Notice Period : Immediate


Qualifications and Education Requirements:
 

 Graduate / Post Graduate
 Bachelors degree in computer science or information technology.
 Proven work experience as a desktop support engineer or support technician.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist our clients with computer hardware and software issues.
  • Work on-site or via remote connection and assist with hardware installations, software upgrades, systems integrations, and address basic IT-related issues.
  • Maintain computer hardware and software systems, installing new programs, managing updates and providing technical support. Procure spareparts on time from the nominated vendor of the client.
  • Troubleshooting networking and connection issues, hardware and software issues.
  • Outlook configuration, WAN, VPN, LAN
  • Responding to client support requests, find out the nature of the problem.
  • Coordinate with vendors supplying computer parts and support client in timely procurement and replacement
  • Help new employees set up their workstations.

 

Skills:

  • Advanced knowledge of computer hardware systems, chipsets, memory modules, and peripherals.
  • Knowledge of popular operating systems, software applications, and remote connection systems.
  • Ability to solve complex hardware and software issues.
  • Ability to travel and work after hours when necessary.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Have extensive knowledge of home and office systems, good problem-solving skills, and high-level interpersonal skills
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Communication skills.
  • Collaborative teamwork
  • Ability to give clear technical instructions. Familiar with remote troubleshooting techniques.
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to work effectively with business managers and IT staff.
  • Exposure to lead management would be an added advantage
  • Knowledge of computer science, knowledge of software engineering, background in IT.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Proven work experience as a Desktop Support Engineer, Technical Support Engineer or similar role
  • Hands-on experience with Windows/Linux/Mac OS environments
  • Working knowledge of office automation products and computer peripherals, like printers and scanners
  • Knowledge of network security practices and anti-virus programs.
