Job Description

Hardware Design Lead Responsibilities: Lead all system hardware design activities Haystack Robotics" Autonomous Mobile Robot products Collaborate with Software and Industrial Design teams to ensure success of product development Plan hardware development for new products and execute projects on schedule and with high quality. Solve technical issues with a disciplined approach. Scope effort, create schedules, oversee test plan execution and give regular updates to management Constantly pursue operational efficiency improvements. Role model disciplined bug/issue tracking and resolution Lead hiring for and build a capable team. Mentor junior engineers. Requirements: Minimum Qualification: B.E/B-tech in Electronics or a related discipline, M.E./M.Tech. preferred Work Experience: 8 years to 10 years HW Design and Validation experience in robotics or embedded systems Hands-on experience in all aspects of embedded system hardware development on multiple projects with increasing responsibility and scope. Exposure to Firmware/Software. Experience in the following: embedded system design and integration CPU (32/64-bit), memory interface (DDR4/DDR5), USB, MIPI, I2C, UART, SPI, Lidar, cameras, sensors, batteries, Bluetooth/WiFi, etc. Any processor (i.MX8, nVidia Jetson, Qualcomm Snapdragon, etc.) and its subsystem design (DDR4, DDR5) o Handling Sensor based design. (LiDAR, Sonar, Gyro, Accelerometer) o Power supply design SMPS, Inverter design o Coordination with PCB Layout and Software team o High Speed design capabilities. Signal Integrity exposure preferred Experience with taking products through FCC/CE/UL certification process Ability to translate high level product requirements into system hardware specification and evaluate and select components Knowledge of bug/issue tracking tools like Mantis, JIRA, etc. Demonstrated leadership experience, including effective project management and team leadership/mentoring Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams, assess technical issues and develop solutions using an analytical approach to problem solving Strong collaboration skills, ability to influence others and ability to achieve results in a fast-paced, start-up environment,
