Job Description

    Skills: Process Design and Optimization, New Technology Equipment/ Instrument, Evaluation of process plant risk sensitivity, Detailed Engineering Design, Process Engineering Management, Process scheme + equipment specs optimization or improvements, Role & Responsibilities Provide inputs in preparing work plan with adequate resources based on project scope, criticality and schedule of projects to ensure adherence to overall business objectives and goals Drive end to end execution / implementation of strategy through the team based at the plant/project site Initiate and contribute to formulation and updating of design guides and standards aligned with overall Engineering policies, and monitor their adherence so that work is carried out in a controlled manner Conduct RCA of project roadblocks and document the causes and solutions for future reference Identify opportunities for continuous improvement of policies, processes and procedures considering leading practices, improvement of business processes, cost reduction and productivity improvement Oversee day-to-day activities to ensure compliance with stipulated policies and procedures and take action in case of any non-compliance Collaborate with internal stakeholders (technology team, project teams) and external stakeholders (external technology licensors), to lead the development of the basic engineering package for assigned project (greenfield project / revamp project) Review the documents shared the by technology licensors to ensure they are complete, and meet the Reliance guidelines and standards For assigned projects, ensure basic engineering package is complete with all details and deliverables (for example: compressor data sheets, PFDs, PIDs, heat and mass balance, etc) and all details / inputs required for detailed engineering phase are available Handle interface issues with Offsites and Utilities team, as applicable. Lead the development of FEED package in which critical parts of the process plant are further developed (for example: developing the thermal design, furnace process design); For assigned project, lead the development of the detailed engineering design for pump hydralluics, compressor control, critical network development, etc., and ensure proper hand over of this package to the detailed engineering phase Provide support and inputs in the Identification of opportunities for value engineering (for examples how to optimize process configurations, how to reduce plant capex, etc.) and lead the implementation of these across multiple projects Interface with Offsites and Utilities team Record all Lesson learnt and value creation items for reference to future projects Ensure documents are issued without any error Education Bachelors/ Masters degree in Chemical Engineering Experience 18-20 years of experience,
