AV Architect Role Description We are looking for a talented and driven AV Architect specializing in Sensor Fusion and Autonomous Navigation to join our innovative team. In this role, you will be at the forefront of developing and implementing cutting-edge sensor fusion algorithms and navigation systems for our autonomous vehicle technology. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in robotics, machine learning, and control systems, with a focus on integrating data from multiple sensors to create a comprehensive understanding of the vehicles environment and enabling reliable autonomous navigation. Key Responsibilities Sensor Fusion: Develop and implement sensor fusion algorithms that combine data from Lidar, Radar, cameras, GPS, and other sensors. Design and optimize data processing pipelines to ensure real-time performance and accuracy. Calibrate and integrate multiple sensors to create a unified perception framework. Perform sensor data analysis and validation to ensure robustness and reliability. Collaborate with hardware engineers to select and configure sensors for optimal performance. Autonomous Navigation: Develop and refine algorithms for path planning, localization, and mapping. Implement and test navigation strategies in simulation environments and real-world scenarios. Integrate navigation algorithms with the overall autonomous vehicle control system. Work on simultaneous localization and mapping (SLAM) techniques to improve vehicle localization. Optimise path planning algorithms for safety, efficiency, and compliance with traffic rules. Technical skills Proficiency in programming languages such as C++, Python, and MATLAB. Strong understanding of machine learning and computer vision techniques. Experience with ROS (Robot Operating System) or similar robotics frameworks. Familiarity with SLAM, Kalman filters, particle filters, and other state estimation techniques. Knowledge of control theory and kinematic modeling of vehicles. Qualifications Bachelors or Masters degree in Robotics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. A Ph.D. is a plus. Proven experience (10+ years) in developing sensor fusion and navigation algorithms for autonomous systems. Hands-on experience with Lidar, Radar, camera systems, and GPS integration. Experience in working with robotic systems and real-time data processing.
