Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and competent Mid-Level Chef to join our kitchen team. He will be responsible for preparing high-quality dishes, managing your assigned kitchen section, and ensuring consistency and efficiency in food preparation. Ideal candidates will have solid culinary experience, a strong work ethic, and a willingness to learn and grow in a dynamic kitchen environment.
Role & responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and quality standards.
- Manage a specific section of the kitchen (grill, saut, pastry, etc.) with minimal supervision.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Ensure timely preparation and presentation of dishes during service hours.
- Assist in inventory control, including ordering and stock rotation.
- Train and supervise junior kitchen staff and apprentices.
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and hygiene regulations.
- Collaborate with sous chefs and head chef to develop new dishes and improve kitchen operations.
Preferred candidate profile
- Knowledge of Frozen foods is mandatory.
- Culinary diploma or equivalent training preferred.
- Knowledge of food safety and kitchen hygiene practices.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure and handle multiple tasks.
- Strong attention to detail and consistency.
- Good communication skills and team spirit.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Computer Savvy.
