Role Overview

We are looking for a highly driven and well-networked Scouting Manager to spearhead site sourcing and property acquisition efforts for our upcoming retail pharmacy stores across Bangalore, Hyderabad, and Chennai. This individual will play a critical role in building a strong property funnel through broker collaboration, ensuring timely closures, and coordinating all aspects of the site onboarding lifecycle.


Key Responsibilities

Broker & Market Engagement

  • Build and manage strong relationships with local brokers, developers, and property owners to generate a consistent pipeline of viable retail sites.

Site Identification & Evaluation

  • Scout and shortlist high-potential sites based on catchment analysis, visibility, footfall potential, and operational feasibility.

Cross-functional Coordination

  • Liaise with internal teams (legal, projects, compliance, and commercial) to ensure timely closure of property-related formalities.

Landlord Management

  • Act as the key mediator between the landlord and Tata 1mg teams, ensuring all documentation, terms, and communication are aligned and executed smoothly.

Funnel Management & Conversion

  • Track and report the progress of properties through the funnelfrom scouting to final handover. Focus on speed of conversion, not just funnel volume.

Documentation & Compliance

  • Ensure proper documentation is captured, shared, and archived in coordination with legal and property teams.

Success Metrics

  • Volume and quality of properties added to the funnel
  • Conversion rate from identified to finalized properties
  • Speed of closure and handover
  • Broker and market network depth and responsiveness
  • Collaboration effectiveness with internal teams and landlords

What We Are Looking For

  • 36 years of experience in real estate scouting, leasing, or expansion (retail/FMCG/QSR/pharmacy preferred)
  • Strong local market knowledge of Bangalore (Hyderabad and Chennai exposure is a plus)
  • Excellent negotiation, relationship-building, and communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
  • Organized, process-oriented, and outcome-driven
