We re looking for a Social Media Trainee to join our marketing team to help grow and engage our player community across platforms.
Job Overview:
As a Social Media Trainee in our mobile game development company, you will support the social media team in creating, curating, and managing content that excites and engages our player community. This is an entry-level role, ideal for recent graduates who are passionate about social media, gaming, and building strong online communities. You ll learn to manage a variety of social channels, engage with players, and contribute to social media strategies that align with our brand.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in creating and scheduling posts, stories, and other content across platforms like Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, TikTok, and YouTube.
- Work with the design team to develop visually engaging graphics, memes, and videos tailored to each platform.
- Brainstorm and execute creative ideas that promote our games, engage players, and build a vibrant online presence.
- Monitor social media channels to respond to comments, answer player questions, and engage with our community.
- Collaborate with the customer support team to address player concerns and escalate issues when necessary.
- Test game performance and ensure compatibility across multiple devices and platforms.
- Develop and nurture a positive and active player community by initiating conversations, running polls, and responding to player feedback.
- Support the team in planning and executing social media campaigns, contests, and giveaways to increase engagement and followers.
- Track trending topics, hashtags, and content styles that are relevant to the gaming industry and integrate them into our strategy.
- Contribute ideas to enhance brand presence, player loyalty, and excitement around game launches and updates.
- Collect and analyze social media metrics, such as engagement, follower growth, and reach, to understand performance.
- Prepare weekly and monthly reports to present key metrics and insights to the social media team.
- Identify opportunities to optimize content and engagement strategies based on data and player feedback.
- Conduct research on social media trends in the gaming industry to stay current on best practices
- Analyze competitor social media activity and suggest ways we can stand out in the gaming space
- Track player preferences, behaviors, and trending topics to inform our social media approach
Requirements:
- Bachelor s degree in Marketing, Communications, Media Studies, or a related field. (Fresh graduates are welcome!).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Basic knowledge of social media platforms, content creation, and community management.
- Familiarity with tools like Canva, Photoshop, or other design software (experience with video editing tools is a plus).
- Passionate about gaming and familiar with popular games, trends, and gaming communities.
- Creative, proactive, and eager to learn the ins and outs of social media management.
- Organized, detail-oriented, and able to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
