Job Description

    Full job description We are seeking a skilled and passionate Tandoor Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in Indian cuisine, with a specialization in Tandoor cooking. Responsibilities: Mastery in the art of Tandoor cooking, including preparation, marination, and grilling of various meats, seafood, and vegetarian items. Ensure that all Tandoor dishes meet the restaurant's quality standards and are consistently prepared. Prepare and marinate meats, vegetables, and other ingredients for Tandoor cooking. Adhere to recipes and portion control to maintain food quality and minimize waste. Monitor and maintain the freshness and quality of ingredients used in the Tandoor section. Conduct regular taste tests to ensure the flavor profile of Tandoor dishes meets expectations. Work closely with the Head Chef and other kitchen staff to coordinate and streamline overall kitchen operations. Communicate effectively with team members to ensure a smooth flow of service. Maintain a clean and organized Tandoor section, following all sanitation and safety guidelines. Responsible for the proper cleaning and maintenance of Tandoor equipment. Train junior kitchen staff in Tandoor cooking techniques and safety protocols. Keep abreast of industry trends and continuously enhance Tandoor cooking skills. Requirements: Proven experience as a Tandoor Chef or Tandoor Chef de Partie. In-depth knowledge of Tandoor cooking techniques and Indian cuisine. Ability to work in a high-pressure kitchen environment. Strong organizational and communication skills. Attention to detail and commitment to food quality. Culinary degree or relevant certification is a plus.
