 Risk Manager - Records Management Specialist

Job Description

  • Draft a comprehensive record management framework including but not limited to policy and procedures.
  • Create and maintain an inventory of all records within the company (physical and digital).
  • Ensure accurate classification, indexing, and tracking of records for easy access.
  • Manage the lifecycle of records, including storage, retrieval, and secure disposal when retention periods expire.
  • Implement and enforce records management policies and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and organizational standards for record-keeping.
  • Conduct periodic independent reviews of records to ensure they are stored, retained and disposed as per the company policy.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • This position has supervisory responsibilities.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor?s degree in information management, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).
  • Proven experience in records management, archiving, or a similar role.
  • Strong organizational and attention-to-detail skills.
  • Proficiency in records management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Knowledge of data privacy regulations and compliance standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, etc.).
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

SKILLS:

  • Data privacy, Record Management Data Management, Classification, Indexing, Storage.

EDUCATION:

  • Any Bachelors/ master?s degree

KNOWLEDGE:

  • Data governance, Record Management and data governance

EXPERIENCES:

  • Core experience in ERM function.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret the most complex documents. Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints. Ability to write emails, speeches and articles using original or innovative techniques or style. Ability to make effective and persuasive speeches and presentations on controversial or complex topics to top management, public groups and clients.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

  • Ability to choose the right mathematical methods or formulas to solve a problem. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals quickly and correctly.

REASONING ABILITY:

  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATION:

  • Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, ISO 27001 Lead Auditor, or similar certifications are highly desirable.
