Job Description

• As a PL/SQL and Unix Developer/Administrator, you will play a critical role in the development, maintenance, and administration of our Oracle database systems running on Unix-based platforms
• You will be responsible for writing and optimizing PL/SQL code, ensuring database performance, and managing Unix server environments
• Key Responsibilities:PL/SQL Development:Database Development: Design, develop, and maintain PL/SQL procedures, functions, triggers, and packages to support business applications
• Performance Tuning: Optimize SQL queries and PL/SQL code to enhance database performance and responsiveness
• Unix System Administration:Unix Server Management: Administer Unix-based servers, including installation, configuration, and routine maintenance tasks
• Shell Scripting: Create and maintain shell scripts for automation, system monitoring, and routine tasks
• User Management: Manage user accounts, permissions, and access control on Unix systems
• Security: Implement and maintain security measures, including firewall rules, access controls, and system patching
• Database Administration:Database Maintenance: Perform routine database maintenance tasks, such as backup, recovery, and data integrity checks
• Monitoring: Monitor database performance, space utilization, and system logs to ensure optimal operation
• Documentation:Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation of database schemas, PL/SQL code, and Unix server configurations
• Collaboration:Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, developers, and system administrators to resolve issues and optimize database performance
