Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled Application Support Engineer with expertise in Oracle Cloud, Ansible, and AWS to manage the deployment and support of critical applications. The role involves a combination of one-time setup responsibilities and ongoing operational support for our infrastructure and deployment pipelines. Key Technical Skills:
Financial Domain Knowledge (Preferred):
One-Time Responsibilities:
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
We are seeking a skilled Application Support Engineer with expertise in Oracle Cloud, Ansible, and AWS to manage the deployment and support of critical applications. The role involves a combination of one-time setup responsibilities and ongoing operational support for our infrastructure and deployment pipelines. Key Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in Oracle Database and SQL for data querying, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.
- Familiarity with PL/SQL scripting for customizations and automation.
- Operating Systems: Experience with Linux and Windows Server environments for application installation, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
- Cloud Platforms:
- Hands-on experience with AWS , Oracle Cloud , or other cloud platforms for application hosting, deployments, and backups.
- Automation and Scripting: Proficiency in scripting languages such as Shell scripting, Python, or PowerShell to automate tasks.
- Ansible : Knowledge of Ansible or other configuration management tools to automate deployments and environment setups.
- Deployment Tools: Experience in building and managing CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins , GitLab CI/CD, or Azure DevOps.
Financial Domain Knowledge (Preferred):
- Domain Expertise :
- Familiarity with treasury, risk management, or asset management concepts, as these are the focus areas of Credence Analytics solutions.
- Regulatory Compliance :
- Understanding of financial compliance requirements to ensure systems meet necessary standards.
One-Time Responsibilities:
- Application Installation:
- Install and configure enterprise-grade applications in our cloud environment.
- Create Protected Deployment Pipeline:
- Develop and implement secure, automated deployment pipelines to ensure robust and efficient application delivery.
- Second-Line Support:
- Act as the second line of defense, providing advanced troubleshooting support after the Credence frontline team.
- Collaborate with the RGA Cloud Services Infrastructure team to resolve complex issues.
- Patch and Upgrade Management:
- Install and deploy patches and upgrades provided by Credence to maintain application security and performance.
- Pipeline Management:
- Build, optimize, and maintain deployment pipelines to ensure seamless application updates and deployments.
- Core Skills:
- Strong experience with Oracle Cloud services.
- Proficiency in automation tools like Ansible.
- In-depth knowledge of AWS infrastructure and services.
- Additional Skills:
- Strong understanding of CI/CD practices and tools.
- Experience with application deployment and troubleshooting in cloud environments.
- Familiarity with ITIL practices is a plus.
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 6 to 8 years of relevant experience in application support and cloud infrastructure.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
