Job Description

Role & responsibilities

Windows Administration Management Services for managing Datacenter Services hosted on windows servers with 24X7 availability.

Skills Required

1. Windows Administration in Server technology
2. Windows Cluster configuration and Management
3. Hyper-V Configuration and Management
4. Good Exposure in IIS Configuration, Hardening and Troubleshooting.
5. Patch Management for Windows OS
6. Windows Server Provisioning and Hardening 
7. Vulnerability Assessment 
8. Proactive Monitoring of all the servers using BSE tools
9. Manage Access rights and folders
10. Creating/Deleting VM Snapshots.
11. Perform restoration of all components at time of system failure or file system corruption

Good to Have:

1. CPU & Memory utilization & monitoring.
2. Microsoft Windows Resources, Event logs & critical services Monitor.
3. Monthly report on server availability
4. Respond to and own Incident till resolution
5. Engage customer contracted hardware and software support vendors to facilitate incident resolution
6. Work with customer support teams to review & resolve incidents
7. Co-ordinate with customer contacts to with BSE vendors in case of hardware failures or involvement of third party vendor is required.
8. Reinstallation of OS, in case of OS crashes and for the problems where reinstallation of OS is required.
9. Correlate related incidents together into a problem ticket and manage through the problem management process
10. Automate OS administration tasks wherever possible
11. Implement best practice configurations relating to specific vendor recommendations
12. Reporting VM performance status using Native tools/monitoring tools
13. Maintain complete configuration details of servers in scope
14. Server Inventory Management
15. Managing Groups/Domains
