Job Title: Software Tester
Location - Mumbai
Job Type: Full-Time | On-site
Experience Required: 2-3Years
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Software Tester to join our QA team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in Manual Testing, Automation Testing, and API Testing (Manual & Automation). Strong knowledge of automation frameworks like Hybrid (TestNG and BDD Cucumber) is essential. You will be responsible for ensuring high-quality software delivery through systematic testing strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and execute test cases for manual and automated testing processes.
- Conduct functional, regression, integration, smoke, and API testing.
- Create and maintain automation scripts using Hybrid Frameworks combining TestNG and BDD (Cucumber).
- Perform manual API testing using tools like Postman or equivalent.
- Automate REST/SOAP API tests using scripting tools such as Rest Assured or similar.
- Analyze and report test results, track defects, and work closely with developers to ensure timely fixes.
- Prepare test plans, test data, and test reports.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless product delivery.
- Identify testing gaps and suggest continuous improvement strategies.
Required Skills:
- Strong knowledge of Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) and Bug Life Cycle
- Expertise in Manual Testing with a good understanding of web/mobile application testing
- Hands-on experience with Automation Testing using Selenium WebDriver
- Proficiency in TestNG and BDD Cucumber frameworks
- Experience in writing and executing test cases and automation scripts
- Experience in API Testing Manual (Postman, Swagger, etc.) and API Automation
- Good understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies
- Strong analytical and communication skills
- Experience with Git, JIRA, or other test/project management tools
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field
- ISTQB certification is a plus
- Experience in continuous integration tools like Jenkins is an advantage
- Familiarity with SQL for backend/database validation.
