    Location : Pune Preferred Notice Period : Only Immediate to 1 Month. Role Description Job Purpose The role holder performs day-to-day IT operational activities of a complex or challenging nature using expert knowledge and experience across multiple infrastructure technology areas. Key Accountabilities Responsible for provision of day to day operational support and management of the IT infrastructure, supports the 24/7/365 presence in Operations Bridge, manages operational and maintenance procedures and ensures that scheduled jobs, systems/database housekeeping and maintenance, are completed within agreed deadlines Accountable for performing console operations i.e. monitoring the status of specific systems, job queues, and providing first-level intervention if appropriate and uses discretion in identifying and resolving complex problems and assignments and determining when the issue should be escalated Works in conjunction with the Service Desk to resolve issues where applicable. Delivers change requests for the scheduling systems (TWS/IWS), delivering desired results in a timely fashion. Responsible for the management of the batch loaded into the scheduling systems, performing problem determination, and carrying out ad-hoc requests for manipulation of the plan when required. Accountable for monitoring the IT infrastructure, monitoring performance of all websites and critical applications, provides initial incident and event recognition and uses infrastructure management software and tools to collect agreed performance statistics i.e. database, network etc. Provides 1st, and some 2nd line support, escalating critical and major incidents to senior stakeholders. Support the incident management process taking action as specified in operating procedures and as directed by operations Partners, including escalation in house, and to engage with third party support when required. Represent the Operations Bridge in a variety of projects (e.g Service Introduction). Is able to discuss operational duties with Project Managers and convey this information to the shifts ultimately ensuring a smooth transition. Support continuous improvement within IT Operations, carry out agreed project work, maintains the operational support process and supports the build and maintenance of service management documentation and ensures compliance with quality management, risk management, security policies and procedures. Supports with the training of new starters and other members of the department, updating and creating training documents where and when required. Can work entirely independently, often leading the shift when the Shift Manager/Supervisor is unavailable. Has an excellent understanding of when and when not to escalate incidents. Nature and Scope To deliver against the principal accountabilities, the Shift Analyst, ITL4 will be expected to: Stand in for both the Shift Supervisor and Shift Manager when required. Perform backups and restores Provide out of hours support for agreed IT functions Perform Disaster Recovery evacuations, invocations and exercises Assist in database support activities Assist in investigation and resolution of network problems Assist with specified maintenance, configuration and installation procedures Assist in training and development of team members Work independently, under the general direction of the manager with regard to scope, activities and deadlines. Provide task guidance to colleagues / team. Exercise substantial personal responsibility and autonomy. Plan and deliver your own work (including sequencing) to set targets and timelines. Proactive thinking approach. Consistently identify problems early and resolve them. Perform a broad range of operational and investigative complex activities, in a variety of contexts/environments. Demonstrate ability to prioritise successfully and manage simultaneous demands. Demonstrate flexibility and resilience in day to day work. Operate effectively in the face of challenges / sensitivities of the organisation. Be able to continue to work effectively under pressure. Have a good understanding of, and appropriately use, and Wipros methods, tools and applications. Advise others on how to apply business processes and policy. Demonstrate understanding of issues in your own operational / project environment and develop to continuously improve.
