Job Description

The Application Developer role involves designing, developing, implementing, and supporting organizational PeopleSoft applications and interfaces. Responsibilities include developing, deploying, and supporting custom PeopleSoft applications, interfaces, and reports. It is crucial to ensure that development projects align with business requirements, fulfill end-user needs, and address any system issues. Following documented best practices for PeopleSoft and SDLC, technical specifications for new applications/interfaces are developed. Collaboration with business users, help desk, server, network, and database administrators is essential for application support. Evaluating existing applications for effectiveness and efficiency and devising improvement strategies are also part of the role. As an Application Developer, you should effectively manage the process of innovative change, being a self-starter capable of handling multiple projects under time constraints in a dynamic environment with minimal supervision. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, excellent organizational abilities, and effective written and verbal communication skills are necessary. Proficiency in object-oriented programming, technical upgrades, and implementations for PeopleSoft is required. Experience in various lifecycle phases such as requirements gathering, design, and development efforts is beneficial. Additionally, expertise in PeopleTools, PeopleCode, SQRs, Application Engine, Workflow, Check Print File (ADP), Component Interface, Integration Broker, and SQL Server is essential. A Bachelor's degree in Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, or equivalent field is expected.,
