Job Description

The role of Manager at Solar Business in Maharashtra, India involves being responsible for various design aspects in order to kick start projects. The main challenge faced in this role is the lack of clarity from customers regarding solar capacity requirements, incomplete technical details, and delays in obtaining necessary information such as land availability and soil test reports. Despite these challenges, the preliminary design and bill of quantities need to be completed in order to initiate the ordering process. The job also requires meeting tight deadlines, competitive pricing, and achieving reduced commission targets set by management to meet financial goals. Key Result Areas: KRA1: Preliminary scheme design for the plant including the preparation of drawings and documents. KRA2: Design specifications for major equipment such as inverters, transformers, HV switchgear, cables, earthing systems, SCADA, and fire systems. KRA3: Reviewing vendor drawings, providing feedback, and collaborating with vendor design teams to incorporate customer input. KRA4: Conducting inspections and testing of equipment such as HV switchgear, cables, SCBs, and auxiliary transformers.
