Involved in every phase of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), Senior Software Engineers in Test (SETs) at Freshworks have complete ownership of the testing component of cutting-edge projects. They work closely with developers to plan, construct, execute, and deploy programs and products. SETs are responsible for developing and integrating test algorithms, test cases, automation scripts, and uncovering potential bugs. They ensure product security, scalability, and performance testing while contributing to continuous integration and deployment. The SET position offers opportunities to work with world-class B2B SaaS products and cutting-edge technologies. The team enforces manufacturability and testability to ensure successful end-products. They drive better software architecture, design, bug prevention strategies, and more. Responsibilities include participating in planning meetings, providing testing estimations for manual and automation testing, analyzing requirements, designing test plans and cases, executing them, developing automation scripts, monitoring automation test results, and ensuring high test coverage. They identify quality assurance process gaps, contribute to non-functional testing aspects, work closely with the development team, and contribute to continuous integration and deployment. Qualifications for the role include 4-7 years of experience in automation testing, passion for QA, knowledge of software testing concepts, web fundamentals, good programming skills, understanding of OOP concepts, automation frameworks, UI and API automation, performance and security testing, continuous integration tools, analytical and problem-solving skills, and excellent communication skills.
