Job Description
- As the Group Manager, Field Operations at Microsoft in Bangalore, Karnataka, India, you will be responsible for overseeing the order to cash lifecycle for Microsoft products and services. Your primary focus will be on managing pre-sales processes, pipeline management, and ensuring successful deal closures to secure revenue while optimizing deal management processes in collaboration with the field. In this role, you will work closely with Operational Deal Management (ODM) teams across Asia, other ODM Managers in different Asian markets, peers in Transact Services and Vendor Operations Management, as well as key Sales and Marketing roles across Asia. Your role as a People Manager will require you to effectively lead and manage a team to achieve operational excellence and drive business success. To qualify for this position, you should have a Bachelor's Degree in Business, Operations, Finance, or related field, along with at least 6 years of work experience in program management, process improvement, or related fields. Additionally, you should have at least 4 years of management experience. Proficiency in English communication, deep working experience in Asia, and a background in sales operations are preferred qualifications for this role. Your responsibilities will include enabling an efficient deal advisory engine, understanding market dynamics, delivering on key metrics such as Deal Quality and Deal Velocity, and engaging in close management processes with sales leadership. You will also be expected to provide organizational leadership, foster a diverse and inclusive team environment, and empower your team towards achieving business objectives.
