Job Description

    As a part of Lennox International Inc., a global leader in climate control systems, you will be responsible for developing mathematical models and performing simulations to evaluate the performance of HVAC Systems in buildings. Your role will also involve analyzing data and preparing technical reports to effectively communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders. Additionally, you will be tasked with the development, verification, and validation of control algorithms for HVAC systems. In this position, you will be expected to develop and maintain databases and software development processes to support research and development activities. You will play a key role in managing projects, defining project tasks, and adhering to timelines. Collaborating with other engineers to develop in-house simulation software components and related experimental setups will also be a part of your responsibilities. To excel in this role, you must possess a bachelor's degree in engineering along with at least 1 year of related experience. Additionally, knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology, experience with analytical and CAD software, and understanding of design techniques are essential. Strong verbal and written communication skills are crucial for effectively conveying technical information. Ideal candidates for this position will hold an M. Tech in Thermal/Energy/Air Conditioning & Refrigeration from premier institutions or equivalent, with a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in the relevant area. Sound knowledge in Thermodynamics, Heat Transfer & Fluid Dynamics, Energy, and HVAC Systems is required. Experience in the development, verification, and validation of control algorithms for HVAC systems is highly desirable. Familiarity with building performance simulation software, especially EnergyPlus software, would be advantageous. Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Matlab, C++, C#, and Excel macros is preferred. A solid understanding of HVAC and refrigeration systems, including components like heat exchangers, compressors, fans, and blowers, is necessary. Knowledge of building physics and the operation of HVAC systems in buildings, as well as expertise in data analysis based on simulation and experimental results, is crucial. Candidates with expertise in numerical methods to solve thermal engineering problems will be well-suited for this role.
