Automation Test Engineer UI (JAVA selenium) @ GE Industrial

Job Description

As an Automation Test Engineer specializing in UI and API Testing, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automation test scripts for both UI and API testing. Your primary focus will be on utilizing your skills in Java, Selenium, Rest Assured, and Postman to ensure the quality and reliability of the software being tested. With 3 to 8 years of experience in the field, you will play a critical role in collaborating with development and QA teams to identify test requirements and create effective automation strategies. Your expertise in automation frameworks such as TestNG, JUnit, or Cucumber will be essential in executing automated test suites, analyzing results, and identifying defects to contribute to continuous testing improvements. Key Responsibilities: - Design, develop, and maintain automation test scripts for UI and API testing. - Collaborate with development and QA teams to identify test requirements and create automation strategies. - Execute automated test suites and analyze results to identify defects. - Enhance existing frameworks or implement new ones to support automation needs. - Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous testing improvements. Required Skills: - Strong hands-on experience with Java and Selenium for UI automation. - Proficiency in API test automation using Rest Assured. - Experience with automation frameworks such as TestNG, JUnit, or Cucumber. - Good understanding of SDLC, STLC, and Agile methodologies. - Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Good To Have: - Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, Git, and Maven. - Knowledge of testing tools like Postman and SOAP UI is a plus.
