Your responsibilities will involve building solutions in various domains such as risk management, big data, and mobile applications. As part of the SDLC and Runtime (SDLCR) team, you will focus on delivering scalable platforms for job scheduling, Compute-as-a-Service, file transfer, firmwide software distribution, and software development. This includes managing CI/CD ecosystems based on platforms like GitLab and proprietary tools. The Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) suite of products provides end-to-end build and deploy tooling for Engineers, offering a secure and highly available environment that supports source control, code review, build, test, and production activation processes. Your primary customers will be Engineers within Goldman Sachs, with key clients including the Global Banking & Markets, Asset & Wealth Management, and Platform Solutions groups. As part of the Goldman Sachs Core Engineering group, you will provide language support and tooling to enhance the building, testing, and deployment processes for our engineering community. The goal is to improve product quality, increase developer productivity, and foster collaboration through innovative technology solutions that have a direct impact on the firm's bottom line. In the role of a Workflow Software Engineer, your team will be responsible for managing the organization's strategic software repository, ensuring data integrity, and integrating with other SDLC and tech risk systems for software lifecycle management. You will also oversee the development, enhancement, and maintenance of peer review tooling, encompassing static analysis, linting results, regression testing, compliance checks, and Automated Trading Controls (ATC). Your tasks will involve collaborating with engineers and stakeholders globally to identify inefficiencies in workflow tooling and processes, automating compliance and quality gates, standardizing user experiences across different front-end applications, and making high-impact changes that are felt by engineers worldwide. The skills we are looking for in a candidate include: - 3-4 years of experience in Java - Strong software engineering fundamentals - Experience in building high-availability apps and services - Familiarity with designing and supporting front-end web apps (React / Typescript preferred) - Desirable experience in writing software in a high-integrity environment and producing/maintaining SDLC tooling - Banking experience is not necessary At Goldman Sachs, we are committed to leveraging our people, capital, and ideas to drive growth for our clients, shareholders, and communities.
