Job Description
- As a Senior PHP Developer with a minimum of 3 years of experience in Laravel, you will be responsible for designing and developing backend applications following clean architecture principles. Your role will involve building and integrating RESTful APIs with frontend systems, ensuring secure coding practices in alignment with OWASP guidelines, and optimizing backend performance for reliable and high-performing systems. Collaboration with frontend developers will be essential for seamless UI/API integration using HTML and Tailwind CSS. You will also be required to manage environment setup using Docker, handle database migrations, and configure deployment pipelines. Peer code reviews, maintaining Git version control, and following clean PR standards are key aspects of this role. Direct client communication plays a significant part in this position, where you will be expected to engage with foreign clients, understand their requirements, provide demos, and report progress. Monitoring production systems, debugging issues, and delivering RCA-driven hotfixes will also be part of your responsibilities. Key Skills and Requirements: - Proficiency in PHP 8.x, Laravel 10.x or later - Strong backend architecture and coding practices - Experience with REST API design, Authentication, and Authorization mechanisms - Familiarity with MySQL, query optimization, and ORM (Eloquent) - Frontend integration skills using HTML, CSS (Tailwind) - Knowledge of Git workflows, Docker, environment management, and CI/CD concepts - Understanding of security best practices and performance monitoring tools - Ability to write clean code following SOLID principles and design patterns Preferred Skills: - Experience in project delivery for foreign clients and requirement gathering - Familiarity with cloud environments such as DigitalOcean and AWS - Exposure to DevOps practices or collaboration with DevOps teams - Previous experience in code reviews, mentoring, or leading small teams Soft Skills: - Strong communication skills for client interactions - Self-driven with a problem-solving mindset - Willingness to relocate and adapt to a small-town yet high-performing work environment - Professional demeanor with a focus on delivery and quality What We Offer: - Opportunity to work on international projects with global clients - Structured growth path with challenging backend engineering work - Relocation support and a friendly, collaborative work culture in Virudhunagar This is a full-time position with benefits including flexible schedule, paid sick time, paid time off, and the option to work from home.
