Job Description
- As a Quality Assurance Engineer at our company, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and functionality of our products. Your responsibilities will include designing and executing manual test plans and test cases based on product requirements and user scenarios. You will be responsible for identifying, logging, and tracking defects in JIRA, working closely with developers for timely resolution. Taking ownership of issues from discovery to resolution is key to driving quality throughout the development lifecycle. You will need to develop a deep understanding of the product to identify edge cases, potential issues, and usability improvements. Participation in requirements and design reviews to provide early feedback from a QA perspective is essential. Clear communication of findings, risks, and QA status to developers, product managers, and other stakeholders is crucial for effective collaboration. You will also be expected to continuously improve testing processes, tools, and documentation, ensuring the best QA practices in web and/or mobile applications are utilized. Experience working in Agile or Scrum environments is preferred. Proficiency with JIRA and other defect tracking tools is required. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are necessary, along with excellent verbal and written communication skills. Demonstrated ownership and initiative in identifying and resolving issues independently is a key trait we look for in candidates. The ability to prioritize tasks, manage timelines, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment is important. A passion for product quality and user experience will drive your work forward. While basic understanding of automation tools or scripting is a plus, it is not required.
