You will be responsible for working on API automation testing using Open source tools and establishing an automation framework that decreases manual test effort. You will create, review, and update automation test cases for product functionalities. Testing the system functionalities to ensure the delivery of a functionally correct product will also be a key part of your role. Reporting and managing bugs in BTS like JIRA/Bugzilla, performing root cause analysis for system issues, and effectively communicating issues to the team for quick resolution are crucial tasks you'll undertake. Ensuring that the product under test meets both functional and business requirements, contributing to and improving existing quality processes, and creating and updating regression test suites are also part of your responsibilities. Additionally, you will need to understand the technical architecture of the product and feature implementation and provide support for prod deployments and issue triaging as per the schedule (including weekends occasionally). Key Responsibilities: - Independently design, carry out feasibility studies, and develop automation frameworks (from scratch) for a variety of products on Mobile and Web. - Work closely with product, development, and testing teams to study product requirements and define test scope. In addition to the primary responsibilities, you will also demonstrate leadership and planning through proactive behavior and independent problem-solving. Strong collaboration with other test team members and development team members is essential in order to meet goals. To be successful in this role, you will need: - Strong knowledge of Java, Data structures, OOPS concepts, and its applications. - Understanding of Web Technologies like HTTP, REST, etc. - Knowledge of Database concepts and query languages like SQL. - Conceptual understanding of Client-Server Architecture. - Hands-on experience with manual or automated testing of web/mobile applications. - Hands-on experience with Performance Testing and Load Testing tools like JMeter. - Proactive, strong-minded, quick thinker, and assertive. - Proven track record of running projects testing via automation. - Proven experience in API test automation using one of the tools Rest Assured/Karate DSL. - Working knowledge of MITM Proxy/Charles Proxy/Fiddler/Other proxy sniffing tools. - Scripting and automation experience in Java-based tools like Selenium or Protractor. - Expert-level proficiency in at least one of the API testing tools (Postman/Newman/SoapUI).,
