Principal Engineer in DevOps @ Photon

Job Description

As a talented Principal Engineer specializing in DevOps, you will be joining our dynamic team where your deep expertise in CI/CD pipelines, containerization, cloud platforms, and development languages will be highly valued. Your role will involve architecting and implementing robust DevOps solutions, requiring exceptional problem-solving skills, a collaborative mindset, and technical leadership capabilities. You will be responsible for architecting, designing, and implementing CI/CD pipelines in a distributed environment using tools like GitHub, GitHub Actions, Artifactory, Jenkins, Spinnaker, Docker registry, etc. Expertise in Harness is considered a plus. Your ability to analyze complex issues and provide effective solutions while collaborating closely with cross-functional teams will be crucial. In this role, you will also implement and manage containerization technologies such as Docker and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes. Your proficiency in working with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP to deploy scalable applications using micro-services architecture will be essential. Additionally, you will demonstrate expertise in one or more development languages like Java, Python, or JavaScript, along with database skills to support DevOps workflows through data mining and querying against relational and non-relational databases. Requirements for this role include a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, with a Master's degree considered a plus. Proven experience in designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines in a distributed environment, strong proficiency with relevant tools, excellent problem-solving skills, and hands-on experience with containerization technologies and orchestration platforms are necessary. Preferred qualifications include an advanced degree in Computer Science or Engineering, industry certifications related to DevOps and cloud platforms, and previous experience in a senior or leadership role within DevOps. Your strong communication and collaboration skills will also be beneficial in this role.,
